Portraits
I’ve been drawn to photographing people since the moment I picked up a camera over 25 years ago. Portrait photography has always been at the heart of my work.
A few years ago, I began a personal project: one portrait a week for a year. What started as a simple challenge became a rich and unexpected journey – taking me from backstage at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden to farmyards in Normandy. Along the way, I met remarkable people and was trusted with their stories. The project taught me to be bold, curious, and open to approach strangers and create something meaningful together.
For me, a portrait is never just about pressing the shutter. It’s about capturing presence, character, and something intangible – the essence of who someone is in that moment. The best portraits feel honest, natural, and quietly powerful.
Alongside personal and commissioned portrait work, I also photograph professional headshots for actors and performers. Whether for casting, publicity, or portfolio use, I create relaxed, thoughtful headshots that feel authentic and confident images that reflect not just how you look, but who you are.
I’m always looking for interesting people to photograph, and I approach every shoot with care, curiosity, and respect – creating portraits that feel personal, considered, and true.
